Google’s new King’s Cross HQ

With the Gillespies team, Sam has been involved in the roof garden for Google’s new HQ in King’s Cross, a 300m long podium over 5 different levels, incorporating terraces, amphitheaters, lawns, tree planting, a running track, and an elevated walkway.

Since 2022 Sam has been instrumental in seeing through the delivery; dealing with site queries, change processes, and resolving design queries for unique landmark scheme. The design has been undertaken by Gillespies and Heatherwick Studio and every element is a bespoke solution specific to this project. A feat of engineering and teamwork, it will be a huge asset for office workers below.
